Estonia has participated in the ENRIN programme since 1994.
The Estonian Environment Information Centre (EEIC), the ENRIN focal point has taken an active role in UNEP's and other international environmental information activities, such as having a Guest researcher at GRID-Arendal in 1994, organizing the ENRIN workshop for the Baltic States in Jäneda in 1995, participating in the ENRIN focal point meeting in Warsaw in October 1995, the Internet Seminar in Arendal and BALLERINA workshop in Stockholm in 1996, the BALLERINA conference in Riga in May 1997 and the Rovaniemi meeting in 1998. The SoE Estonia on the Internet was launched in 1996, Estonia participated in the Internet Seminar in Budapest in 1998
Estonia prepared a new SoE report in CD-ROM that accompaned the Environmental Performance Review for Estonia published by the UN/ECE by the end of 2001.
