Which are the institutions that have provided environment data ?

Environmental related data are provided from the scientific research institutes like, the Institute of Public health, Institute of Hydrometeorology, Institute of Biological Research, Museum of Natural Sciences, Institute of Soil Research, Central Military Laboratory, Research Institute of Technological Research, Research Institute of Forests and Pastures and Institute of Fishing.Furthermore we acknowledge the useful contribution of 12 regional Environmental Agencies in providing partial reporting from the country prefectures.

Who are the persons who have collaborated to publish the SOE Report ?

The following working groups were set up at the Directorates of the National Environmental Agency; to prepare specific parts of the report based on the reporting and information received.

Group 1. Directorate of Air, Water Quality and Waste Management (Dr. Tatiana Hema, Rikard Shllaku, Gani Deliu, Agron Jana, Dr. Shkëlqim Mema).

Group 2. Directorate of Nature Conservation (Zamir Dedej, Ermal Halimi, Diana Jaho, Arben Pustina, Alma Bako).

Group 3. Directorate of Economics and Project Implementation (Ermira Basha, Violeta Zuna, Festime Trebicka, Donika Nano).

Group 4. Department of legislation and Public Relations (Drita Dade, Bajram Mejdiaj).

Bledar Çoçoli and Dr.Tatiana Hema assisted in the layout preparation and graphic design.

The editor of the entire report is Prof. Dr. Dhimitër Haxhimihali, Tirana University, and Faculty of Natural Sciences. It is evident from the report that the scope and variety of environmental issues to be assessed, is rather broad. The report has analysed key tendencies, but it should be taken into account that there are also other important issues, about which the necessary bases for research and monitoring is lacking, besides the institutional and legal weaknesses.
