The discussion of the structure of the electronic report on an environment state of the Aral Sea basin was held in two working groups.

The group discussed the problems of a choice of sources of the ecological information in the countries of region. The participants of group come to the uniform opinion that together with official information on environment it is necessary to involve the information from non-governmental ecological organisations.

The participants of the group stated a number of the offers on drawing up of the national reports and the regional report on an environment state of the Aral sea, and also on use of initial data and methods of their processing for obtaining parameters of an environment state.

These offers are reduced to following:

• a necessity of development of an uniform approach to drawing up of the national reports on an environment state (Kyrgyzstan);
• a basis of the national reports should make official data with indication of the information source and degree of its reliability (Uzbekistan);
• recommendation to include in the data the integrated indicators on population health and the indicators describing chemical-radiating mutability of environment and a level of anthropogenic negativity of a climate (Tadjikistan, Turkmenistan);
• making an estimation of pollution of environment not only on sanitary but also by an ecological principle (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan);
• a necessity of introduction in the problem "Change of climate and quality of air" of indicators describing a condition ice-houses (Kyrgyzstan).

In this group, the contents of the electronic reports on an environment state, problems of choice of unified indicators, unity of methods of their determination, unit of measurement and representation, temporary interval of data representation and other problems were discussed. It was offered that duration of observations of parameters of an environment state presented in the reports should be not less than 5 years.

The participants of the group brought in the following offers on the structure and set of indicators of an environment state:

• to introduce in the problem "Ground and ground resources" the items on an efficiency of agricultural lands, change of a structure of agricultural grounds, infringement of structure and efficiency of pastures;
• to introduce in the problem "Forest resources" the indicator "grassy fires" and to estimate not only the structure but also wood species;
• to provide in the problem "Water resources" the questions of quality of drinking and irrigating water, and also an estimation of drainage waters and areas of irrigated grounds;
• to allocate in a separate problem a state of ice-houses and snow cover, water-ice resources and water-ice stocks of rivers;
• to include in the problem "General information" an application of economic parameters of an estimation of an environment state;
• to expand a structure and set of parameters in the problem "Toxic and radioactive pollution", i.e. to carry out an estimation of a risk degree, influence of mountain falls and tail storages on an environment, a repeated use of radioactive and household wastes.
