Forest

What are the impacts of forests?

The status of the forests is affected by the different natural and anthropogenic factors which vary in importance by region and on the tree type and conditions within the habitat.

The consecutive years of drought in the last several years affected very much the forests ecosystems because they lead to depletion of the water reserves along the entire depth of the soil profile. Such lengthy periods of drought are most dangerous for the forest ecosystems.

Attacks of Cecidomyia fagi., Rhinchaenus fagi., Cynips kollari, Leucaspis sp., Chermes abietis, Botrytis cinnerea Pers, Dryomia circinuans, Melampsorella caryophylla cearum, Lophodermium pinastri Gremmenilla abietina have been observed in some regions.
