G.INFO: State of the Environment - Georgia - Air

Four air polluting substances were monitored in Zestaponi: dust, carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and nitrogen monoxide. From these only the yearly average and maximal values of dust concentrations exceeded MPL. Unfortunately, in 1994 the monitoring of the most important air polluting substance in Zestaponi -- manganese dioxide has not been performed. For last 10 years the pollution levels of all four substances, listed above decreased insignificantly.
