Atchara Regional Environmental Pollution Control Laboratory

The Laboratory which submit reports to the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Georgia. Their action zones are: Atchara Autonomous Republic.

They are responsible for the Environment Protection in the region of their zones and complex management, protection and application from the point of view of state control implementation.

The provision on framework and data for the staff are proved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

The Laboratories are financially supported by the state budget according to the annual estimates affirmed by the Ministry.

Action:
Constant laboratories on control of water resources, air and soil pollution; obtain the data on pollution sources, improve the quality of sewage water and operation emission treatment plants their control and analyses, to present the report about the carried work into the Ministry.

The Ministry fulfils the methodological authority and co-ordination of activities by means of the Central laboratory for control of the Environmental Pollution and by means of Department.

To organise and realise the protection of the sea and its coastal zone from the pollution of oil products and other hazardous substances, the state control with the concerned organisations; to give the licences about taking the subterranean out of the sea bottom and to realise the state control on the conditions that are given in licences.
