Samegrelo and Zemo Svaneti Regional Department of Environment

Department submits to Ministry of Environmental Protection of Georgia, It’s action zones are Abasha, Khobi, Senaki, Martvili, Tsalenjikha, Chkhorotsku, Zugdidi, Mestia districts.

Its responsible for the Environmental Protection in this region, its complex management, protection and application from the point of view of state control implementation.

The provision, framework and data of staff is proved by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

The Department is being financed from the state budget according to the estimates affirmed by the Ministry.

Action:

To carry out the State policy in the sphere of state control regulations, licensing, calculation, inspection. control * (Guriashi daemateba) of environment protection and natural resource use on the regional territory.

To give the licences about taking the subterranean out of the sea bottom and to realise the state control on the conditions, etc.

Control:

To, implement regulations and ordinance of the President of Georgia, ordinances of the Ministry; environmental normative and rules; to protect the use of land, water, air, forests, plants, animals, etc.
