    Main Focus: The Center for Sustainable Tourism grew out of the activies of the Caucasus Club, one of the first NGOs in Georgia. It is dedicated to developing an ethical code for ecotourism, educating future guides and operators, and exploring ecotourism opportunities in Georgia. The group has organized regular clean-up activities in ecologically sensitive parks near Tbilisi, has led volunteer trail repair actions and workshops on eco-tourism, and has conducted a survey for the UNDP on eco-tourist possibilities in the Black Sea Basin.

    Main Focus: To identify and investigate the current and future influence of harmful environmental factors on the health of the Georgian population. The Human Ecology Center has conducted an investigation on the high level of radiation after Chernobyl in Georgia and its current effect on the thyroid gland disease of the affected population -- and has brought this information to the attention of the government and humanitarian organizations. It has also conducted an investigation of the manganese pollution around a Georgian mine - and its effect on the health of the local population.
