The sources of radioactive pollution of the environment are the following: natural radioactivity; uranium mines and production of ores; places of processing of uranium ores (tail storages of radioactive waste); The maps of the radiation situation in the resort and reservation zone of Kyrgyzstan and Issyk–Kul are shown. The problems connected with tail storages, disasters and measures on their liquidation are considered.
