For radiation protection and environment toxic pollution solution issues, ministries and administrative departments offered to undertaken the following steps:
  • Develop Law "On radiation protection of the population and radioactive wastes on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic";
  • Construct ranges for non-utilised industrial wastes for northern and southern areas of the Republic;
  • Create the uniform system of monitoring (equipped with up-to-date technical facilities) for the state of radiation on the territory of Kyrgyzstan;
  • Realize gamma-survey for the territory of the Republic to reveal pollution through radioactive polluting sources;
  • Realize emanation surveys to reveal territories with high radon concentration in ground and air while solving issues of industrial and civil construction;
  • Inform the population on radiation situation in various regions of the Republic and protection measures from negative effect of radiation.

The agreement among Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on joined work for territory rehabilitaion, tailstorages and dumps of rocks exerting transboundary effect was signed on 5, Apr, 1996 in Tashkent.
