POLICIES AND ACTIONS:
 Short comments on environmental safety management

Geografical position of the Republic of Moldova, determined in time and  space evolution process  the creation of  one extremely strong  biopotential of territory. Those determine through centuries the  excessive uses of the natural resources by human population and necessities to injury
prevention end control especially in field of environment.

 An  sustainable development  policy for  safety management and for creation of modern supervision system in field of environment. The  basis  idea  is  that  there  is only limited conditions of ecological management-related  safety   aspects  (development   of  legislation    and normative's  systems, international  and  internal  agreements,  local and superficial measures  of control  whithout sufficiently  financial sustain, etc.),  which  in  themselves  do  not  change  much over the years and the approach of the ecological crisis is very possible. If the modern strategic action programme could be implemented at regional and national levels  with anticipate creation  of integrate  ecological monitoring  system, it  would become much adequately to maintain  ecological security in the Republic  of Moldova.
The above concept is being implemented in any developing countries, both at the national and international levels. In  the  1990  in  the  Republic  of  Moldova  set  up  a  new  strategy on environmental policy, especially  on injury, major accidents prevention  and control of  the state of the environment.
 Although there still are considerable resistance and difficulties to the  issuing of  new environmental  policy and  monitoring system,  both concepts  of  ecological  safety   management  and  integrated   ecological monitoring system are now generally accepted.

The actual developing of new  policy is significantly hampered by  the lack of financial resources and modern equipment. It appears that existing ecological management are often based on Ex-Soviet
Union policy,  or on  branch oriented  monitoring systems,  that cannot  be translated to safety management in the Republic of Moldova.
