Status
2. Rare endemic of South-Western Pamiro-Alay.
Brief description. Bulbous herbaceous renascent. Length is 15-50cm.
Bulb is egg-shaped, diameter is 1,5-4 cm. The leaves in number 3-4, the
flower is unique, red, with the black or dirty-yellow center. It blossoms
in May, June, bears fruits in July, August.
Area. Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya provinces.
Inhabitations. Rocky and rocky-talus hill-slopes in the
middle mountain belt.
Number. Individual specimens.
Reproduction. Seed.
Reasons of changes in number and area. Massive collection
of flowers.
Cultivation. Since 1966 they have been cultivated in
the Botanic Garden of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.
Taken and necessary measures for protection. It is registered in the Red Book.
