Pollution of the soils

The soil and climatic conditions  in the republic (high summer temperature, slightly alkaline reaction of soil, irrigated agriculture) promote decomposition and migration of chlor-organic pesticides. However  DDT residuals (it is prohibited to use since 1983) exceeding the maximum admitted concentration are occured more than a half of soil samples.

For the whole record period   soil pollution  from total DDT is practically at one  and the same level, but it exceeds the maximum admitted concentration  2 to 5 times.
The accumulation of HCCH isomers (hexachlorcyclohexan) in  soil occurs  in less degree due to the well dissolubility of  this preparation  in water and removing of it by back wash waters from agricultural fields.  Weighted average compound of  it for the whole record period  had not been exceeded 0,3 of the maximum admitted concentration.

The increasing  of  MgCl content in  soil is mainly occured in autumn during cotton defoliation. The exceeded MgCl content in comparison with the acceptable standards is occured more than  80 % of the investigated agricultural lands.
Soil pollution from herbicides such  as dalapon, cotoran, trefman exceeding normal acceptable standard  is extremely rare occured, and the such preparations as metafos, phosalone, tiodan, occur in soil in the form of traces due to its instability in  dry climate.  The high content of heavy metals, as a rule is marked in soils around of such the industrial developed cities, as Tashkent, Almalic, Becabad, Chirchic.
Soil pollution from arsenic and zinc with excess of the acceptable standards 10 and 6 times respectively in Samarkand region had fixed.
Local soil pollution from toxic chemicals  in the areas near to the former agriculture spray plane airfield storage and pesticides deposts is causes the special alarm.
At the same time, the agriculture cannot develop without application of organic and mineral fertilizers and chemical control. In this context, it is necessary  to establish only an sure rate corresponding with geografical conditions of the republic.
The last years the ways to solve  problem for utulization of  old pestisides were founded.
