    This document is the Czech Republic's contribution to a series of national progress reviews submitted to the United Nations Commission on Sustainable Development, Fifth Session, 7-25 April 1997, New York. This session is also known as Earth Summit +5, Special Session of the General Assembly to Review and Appraise the Implementation of Agenda 21. Each country that is implementing Agenda 21 submitted a review of its progress. The review, or country profile, consists of a list of parties who provided material for the review and a report of progress made for each chapter of Agenda 21. Each review also includes information on the Key National Sustainable Development Coordination Mechanism(s)/ Council(s), a list of acronyms and a brief overview of the country's overall progress.
