Caspian sturgeon: on the road to extinction?
This study highlights five transboundary environmental problems of high importance in the Caspian region: the decline in commercial fish stocks, the degradation of the coastal, the threats to biodiversity, the decline in environmental quality, and the growing number of alien species. In addition, it includes analyses of minor transboundary or national environmental issues, such as the decline in human health and coastal infrastructure.
